TYLDESLEY RU, delighted to keep their 100% unbeaten league record, saw Saturday's 13-13 draw with Keswick as a point dropped rather than one point gained.
Down 3-0, they warmed up as Lee Berrisford touched down for his eighth try of the season.
The Cumbrians bounced back, but skipper Dave Sivill kicked Tyldesley back ahead before Keswick intercepted to race over 80 yards to score under the posts.
Tyldesley gritted their teeth and forced an equalising try from Fraser MacIntosh. The missed conversion left them settling for the draw.
On Saturday Ashton Under Lyne visit Well Street.
Tyldesley 2nd lost 23-20 at Chorley, going down to a penalty in the last two minutes of the game. There were fine tries from Craig Broadhurst, Craig Pulman and Dave Goulbourne with outstanding efforts from Dave Peet in the backs and Matt McGuire and John Kerr up front.
Tyldesley 3rds won 14-12 thanks to another long-range try from Peter Hully. Winger Gary Corbett was in superb form again as they defended well against a bigger set of opponents.
