JUST a short letter to say what a suprise it was to find The Journal on the Internet.
As a relative newcomer to the "Net" I didn't expect to find the local paper from a small Lancashire town being transmitted around the world, especially here in Hong Kong. I will be a regular visitor to your site in the future, keep up the good work.
It is many years since I lived in Leigh but I still follow the Rugby League results, not very good at present but I'm sure that Leigh will eventually bounce back. And the soccer results, great to see Bolton Wanderers doing so well. I've been a life long supporter of both teams.
My mother still lives in Leigh and at 83 is currently recovering from a bad fall, so love to her and I hope that she gets well soon.
