ON behalf of the animals and staff at the RSPCA shelter at Altham, I express our deep appreciation for all the help the Lancashire Evening Telegraph gives us in promoting not just our animal home, but the RSPCA in general.
Your Animal Aid feature keeps us firmly on the map because people travel and ring from all areas after reading about these unwanted animals.
The big coloured spread feature which you also publish gives the public a chance to help the animals in different ways, either with donations or voluntary help.
We have gained quite a few voluntary workers and dog walkers as a result.
We hold open days to promote our work, but your newspaper has been the main factor. You have been our eyes and ears and we will always be grateful because you have helped us find homes for animals which would have been virtually impossible to rehome without the wonderful publicity you have given us.
NORMA ASHTON (Manager), Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Animal Shelter, near Holker House, Altham. Thanks for job well done
