MARK Winstanley has been given the all-clear to boost Burnley boss Adrian Heath's options for tomorrow's home game against Plymouth Argyle.
And the manager is looking for a third successive home victory to help give the club lift-off in their bid to bridge the gap between mid-table and the top of Division Two.
Peter Swan, Jamie Hoyland and Chris Brass will also come into contention as Heath ponders the best way of replacing Doug Hodgson in his three-man central defence.
Swan is the only one of that trio who has not had a first-team start this season, but Winstanley remains favourite to take over from Hodgson, whose loan spell came to such a disappointing and dramatic end with last Saturday's late injury.
Winstanley was the man who replaced him for the last couple of minutes against Notts County and he has come through a virus scare which kept him out of training for a couple of days this week. "Apart from the long-term injuries, we should be more or less at full strength," said the manager.
"I said after we had picked up a point at Watford that this would be a very big week for us, as we faced two home games.
"We got the three points against Notts County and we must look to do the same against Plymouth tomorrow.
"That would set us up nicely for what will be a difficult week, with away games at Preston and York.
"It's a very tight division.
"A couple of wins and you can climb up to sixth and a couple of defeats can leave you sixth from bottom.
"What we do need to do is put together a run of four, five or six games unbeaten.
"If you can do that, you have a chance of making progress." Swan, Hoyland and Brass will join the squad - minus Hodgson - on duty against Notts County last Saturday.
Heath will choose from: Beresford, Parkinson, Overson, Harrison, Eyres, Matthew, Gleghorn, Smith, Barnes, Nogan, Winstanley, Heath, Cooke, Swan, Hoyland, Brass.
Plymouth have lost striker Carlo Corazzin, who is on duty with Canada in Panama City this weekend. He is likely to be replaced by 21-year-old Neil Illman, who has made two sub appearances but has yet to start a game since signing from non-League football.
Defenders Mick Heathcote and Tony James are expected to pass fitness tests, while young keeper James Dungey is likely to be on the bench as cover for Bruce Grobbelaar, who has been carrying a slight knee injury.
The squad: Grobbelaar, Billy, Williams, Mauge, Heathcote, James, Simpson, Curran, Illman, Evans, Barlow, Logan, Rowbotham, Dungey, Leadbitter, Wotton.
