WHEREVER you live in East Lancashire it is probably only a short journey away from some of this country's most beautiful scenery.
From the natural beauty of the West Pennine Moors to the picturesque village of Wycoller or impressive Towneley Hall in Burnley, East Lancashire has a wealth of spectacular scenery.
Now the Lancashire Evening Telegraph is people the chance to share their favourite place with everyone else - and earn cash rewards for their efforts.
We are inviting amateur photographers to capture Lancashire's splendid hill country on film and have their work published in a Lancashire Hill Country tourism publication. Pictures can be taken anywhere in East Lancashire and feature landscapes, buildings and architecture, events and festivals, local characters and culture or crafts and food.
Thre is £100 for first prize, £50 for second and several runner-up prizes including meal vouchers for two at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors, the Sparrow Hawk, Burnley, family tickets for the Helmshore Textile Museum, a ticket for Ski Rossendale, gift vouchers for Waves, Blackburn, and sweatshirts and umbrellas.
All photographs should have been taken during the last year and should be submitted no later than Monday November 11.
Entries will be displayed at Accrington Town Hall from November 28 to 30.
