DESPITE not having finished in either of the their two Network Q RAC Rallies together, Nigel Worswick and navigator Clive Molyneux won't be cruising around this year just to get across the finishing line.
For the Blackburn duo will be pushing their Ford Sierra Cosworth four wheel drive to the limits over the gruelling three day event - and if they finish it will be a bonus!
Nigel, 39, who is competing in his fifth rally said: "If we finished and looked back and realised we could have done a lot better we would be really disappointed because it's not that type of sport. You have to push yourself as hard as you can and if you don't finish at least you've had a go"
The seven-stage rally, which begins on November 23, attracts two million spectators every year, making it the biggest spectator sport in the country.
The duo, who are sponsored by Industrial Computer Equipment manufacturers Allen Bradley and Michelin, will be using puncture proof mousse tyres which are usually used by the leading drivers.
Nigel added: "This is a real team effort for while myself and Clive will be driving the car we have a back up team of five who have given up their spare time to help us."
