THANKS to the Citizen, 13 kindly volunteers with hearts of gold have been found to help lead Rainbow groups in the South Shore area.
Now, little girls will get the chance to join in activities such as acting in plays and singing in carol concerts.
Three weeks ago we appealed for volunteers to lead Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, asking for kind-hearted people to lend a helping hand by giving up one night a week for a couple of hours.
However, your caring Citizen knew Fylde folk would come to the rescue of those who were desperate to join but had no-one to lead them.
These lucky youngsters may now get the chance to experience exciting ventures and make loads of new pals.
One Brownie group has already scooped a top award for its activities and this year - St Paul's Marton Brownies beat 19 other packs to win the Owl standard award.
Within the theme of seasons, the girls had to perform a dance, a dressing up exercise, make a collage and answer a quiz.
All the girls from the pack will have their names engraved on the base of the award, which is an owl on a stick.
The competition will culminate at the Brownie Carol Service on December 4, at which the Brownies will provide the choir.
