SEASIDE harmony is seeking a new wave of talent to help take it to the top.
The Blackpool and Fylde Barbershop Harmony Club was founded in 1977 and there is nothing the members enjoy more than singing - and sneaking a little comedy into their performances.
Twenty-two men make up the 'a cappella' style Blackpool group who meet on a Tuesday night, but they are seeking new talent to help out and join the fun.
Club member Peter Wills said: "We desperately need new members and would like younger men to join us - I am 53 and, at the moment, the second youngest member!
"We won't be auditioning anyone, but as long as they can sing, they can join us.
"There are special tapes made in America which help teach each part, so there is no need to have to read music."
Peter explained the group is also looking for a local company willing to sponsor it.
He said: "Most of the concerts we do are for charity, so we don't actually gain any money for the club.
"But we need money - we've had some of the clothes we wear for 20 years."
Anyone who wants to find out more about the group should call Peter on 899592. Or you can just turn up at rehearsals at the Brun Grove Working Men's Club, Brun Grove, Blackpool, on Tuesdays from 7.30-10pm.
