FRUSTRATED Blackpool fans called for manager Gary Megson's resignation following another lacklustre performance in a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth at Bloomfield Road.

Chants of "Megson Out" sounded around the ground as Pool could only manage a draw - their fifth at home this season - against struggling Bournemouth.

The Seasiders have now gone six games without a win and the fans could not conceal their disappointment as another two points were thrown away.

After an uninspiring first 15 minutes, during which the visitors had the better of the exchanges, James Quinn broke the deadlock with a superb individual goal on 18 minutes.

Quinn danced past three Bournemouth defenders before slotting the ball neatly past Jimmy Glass into the corner of the net from the edge of the area.

Ten minutes before the break Blackpool were unfortunate not to double their lead and perhaps prevent the visitors getting back into the game in the second half.

After new signing Chris Malkin had hit the post, Quinn followed up with a powerful close range shot which forced a great save from Glass.

But after the break Blackpool ran out of ideas and created little in the way of meaningful chances, failing to produce a shot on target in 45 minutes.

Ian Cox levelled for the visitors on 61 minutes, rising unchallenged at the far post to head home Michael Dean's corner.

Blackpool entertain Wigan, who are flying high in the Third Division, in Saturday's FA Cup first round clash (November 16).
