ADRIAN Heath has issued a rallying call before tomorrow's Division Two clash with Bournemouth and appealed to the Burnley faithful to bring a friend to the match!

The Clarets chief believes Burnley fan-power can help roar the Turf Moor side into a play-off spot tomorrow.

"I am appealing for everyone of our supporters to bring a friend along to the game. Let's make Turf Moor a white-hot atmosphere against Bournemouth.

Heath added: "Tomorrow is probably the most important game of the season so far.

"I'm desperate for us to get the right result so we can build further on our great 2-1 success at Bristol.

"It's important that we don't throw away all that good work. If we can get three points then we'll be in a play-off place and closer to the automatic spots.

"We can build further from the result at Bristol because I know, deep down, that we've got the best squad in Division Two.

"A win would leave us superbly placed for a big push towards promotion. We are concentrating all our efforts on beating Bournemouth." Heath added: "The fans have turned up in big numbers this season and I'm asking for them to get behind us in really large numbers against Bournemouth. Let's see if we can break through the 10,000 attendance barrier again.

"I can't praise our supporters enough this season. The level of support we've had, at both Turf Moor and away from home, is just fantastic.

"We're getting back to the sort of form the fans are used to seeing at Turf Moor. We want to make it Fortress Turf Moor again. It's vital that we don't slip up against Bournemouth."

Midfielder Damian Matthew faces a late fitness test on the injured hamstring which forced him out of the action at Bristol in the first half.

Paul Weller is likely to retain his place in midfield if Matthew does not recover in time.

Heath added: "It will be tomorrow before we know whether Damian will be fit enough to play.

"But if he doesn't make it Paul Weller will start the game. Paul did ever so well at Bristol and it proves just what a competitive edge we have in the squad."

Bournemouth are struggling at the foot of the table with just one win in the last seven. But they avenged their FA Cup first round exit at Brentford with a 2-1 league win over David Webb's promotion-chasers at Dean Court in midweek.

Burnley are expected to line-up: Beresford, Parkinson, Eyres, Harrison, Swan, Brass, Matthew, Weller, Smith, Nogan, Barnes, Gleghorn. Subs from: Overson, Cooke, Hoyland, Thompson.

Bournemouth select from: Glass, Young, Vincent, Ferdinand, Cox, Bailey, Holland, Robinson, Fletcher, Christie, O'Neill, Brissett, Murray, Watson.

Bournemouth are expected to field defender Rio Ferdinand at Turf Moor. The on-loan West Ham star is the cousin of Newcastle and England striker Les.

Burnley will play their FA Youth Cup second round tie against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, November 30. (2pm kick-off). PAUL WELLER - Stand-by BPR
