Nottingham Forest v Blackburn Rovers - Peter White's big match preview
CHRIS Sutton is a man with a mission as he goes "home" tonight - and Blackburn Rovers' leading scorer believes it's far from impossible.
Two victories this week, starting against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground tonight, would lift Rovers out of the bottom three for the first time this season.
And Sutton, returning to the city where he was born, feels the revival is already under way.
Rovers are expected to have Graeme Le Saux back, after missing the game against Chelsea, and Sutton said: "It will be a tough game, they'll be scrapping to get away from the bottom.
"But I think that we now look as though we are on the way up. And there are teams just above us that we feel we can catch, even though they are a few points ahead.
"I believe we can take a lot from our last couple of results and performances.
"Everybody was disappointed at the end of the Chelsea game, because they scored a very fortunate goal and that cost us a couple of extra points which would have been handy. "But I think we know we are playing well and everybody's digging deep.
"I expect us to go to Nottingham and give another good performance." Sutton followed Forest's fortunes as a youngster, at the time they were winning the European Cup.
And when he played his last game for Rovers at the City Ground two years ago, he scored twice on the way to the title.
Forest too were battling at the other end of the table in those days but now the two clubs find themselves in a rather different predicament.
"It's a disappointing position for both clubs to be in," said the striker.
Caretaker-boss Tony Parkes has a couple of injury problems to check, with both Graham Fenton (hamstring) and George Donis (groin) doubtful, but he is only expected to make one change - recalling Le Saux. Ex-Forest star Lars Bohinen will be fired up and looking to make an impact, though it will probably have to be from the subs' bench.
