LANCASHIRE are to play two limited overs games in India in the New Year.
The trip, taking in day-night games against the East Zone in Calcutta dn Janshedpur, is part of the celebrations to mark the golden jubilee of India's independence.
Lancashire has been invited by an India-based firm, Greaves Ltd, which has strog connections with Manchester.
The company's European manager, George Morrissey said: "Lancashire are the kings of one-day cricket and will be a superb attraction."
Leaving on January 4, Lancashire will take a squad of 13 along with committee members, officials and the club's president-elect Brian Statham.
