REPRESENTATIVES from Germany and Austria descended on East Lancashire for a workshop on telematics.
training 2000, ELTEC and their foreign visitors are taking part in a European programme called Adapt which looks at using the very latest technology in teaching techniques.
During the workshop, held at TDS Cad-Graphics in Blackburn, distance learning was demonstrated by a video-conferencing session with a German training organisation.
The East Lancashire Adapt Project, which has been give the name TuLIPS (Tutor supported Learning on Interactive Peripheral Systems), is backed by the Blackburn Regeneration Partnership, European Social Fund and ELTEC.
