POLICE are hunting a man after a woman was stabbed in the head, face and neck with a kitchen knife.
Sharon Sykes, 21, was attacked in the upstairs bedroom of her home in Brecon Road in the Whitebirk area of Blackburn last night.
Police say the stabbing, which occurred at about 8pm during a party at the house, has left the victim scarred for life.
She was taken to Blackburn Infirmary and was due to undergo surgery today. Hospital staff said her condition was "comfortable."
