PAWS for Pudsey is the title of a magazine printed by pupils at Helmshore Primary School to raise money for Children in Need.

Youngsters of all ages were involved, carrying out a variety of fund-raisers for the charity, including a Pudsey drive, making Pudseys and even selling themselves as "slaves" to other pupils to clean desks, carry bags or tidy up.

Year six students decided to produce their own magazine which they published this week complete with computerised graphics, stories about the school, its clubs and teachers and a page of puzzles.

More than 200 copies of the magazine were ordered in advance by fellow pupils.
