PRISONERS chalked up almost £3,000 for charity with the help of some of the world's top snooker stars.
Inmates at Wymott Jail, near Leyland, raised the cash for Derian House Children's Hospice, in a snooker contest which included the stars Tony Knowles, Willie Thorne and Jimmy White.
Staff and prisoners spent a week playing a sponsored tournament and winning inmates got the chance to play the pros.
