THE cold snap again wiped out most of the weekend matches in the Leigh & District Amateur Football League.

Only two games were played, both in Division Two.

But there was action a plenty in the Leigh Victoria clash with Union Arms B at Marsh Playing Fields.

In a bad-tempered affair Union had a man sent off, Victoria had two dismissed and played the last 15 minutes with only seven players because of injuries.

Victoria lost 7-2, Nemis 3, Valentine, Poole, Norbury and Boardman on top target, Hibbert and Hill getting two back.

Corbett Brewery won 3-0 at New Inn Rangers, Hill 2 and McDonald hitting the mark.
