LEIGH RU dropped too many passes and took too many wrong options as they fell 18-8 at Rochdale.

A try from Steven Lee had given Leigh the interval lead and that was increased with a Mark Hudspith penalty. But it was downhill from there on in a poor display.

The 2nds beat Rochdale 18-11 and Fleetwood 38-6, winger Nigel Aitchison bagging five tries, Mark Parker getting one, and beat Broughton 27-10.

The 3rds lost 25-24 to Widnes (Clegg, Bailey, Grainey, Kenwright) but beat Fleetwood 17-7 (Kenwright 2, Grainey). They won 12-10 against Prescot with tries by Yates and Egerton.

The Hawks beat Durham Constabulary 19-15 with tries by Moores, J Hutchinson and Greenwood.
