TERRIFIED staff at a Bury post office were held at gunpoint during a robbery.
A man brandishing a handgun went into Walmersley Post Office in Walmersley Road at 5.25pm on Tuesday and demanded money from the woman cashier. He escaped on foot with £1,500 and was seen later in the Walmersley Old Road area.
No car was used in the robbery and police say the man could be local.
He was white, 6ft tall, clean shaven and wearing dark trousers and a black cagoule with blue or purple markings. He had his hood pulled up around his face.
