TEAMMATES of injured rugby star Luke Bryan are gearing up for a mammoth pub walk to raise cash for the popular Haydock U-18s player.
The lads will be starting their walk on Saturday, Dec 7, at The Ship in Blackbrook, and will be calling at every pub and club on the way to their final destination at the Haydock No. 2 Club.
Meanwhile, doctors at Southport and District General Hospital's spinal injuries unit, where Luke is being treated for a dislocated vertebrae, have revealed that the 17-year-old Carmel College student's duodenal ulcer has cleared up and they have now been able to remove some tubes.
LORRAINE Madison of Madison Engineering in Haydock, who sponsor the Haydock Under-18s, has loaned Luke's parents, Christine and Paul, a car so that they can use the vehicle to travel to and from Haydock to the hospital. Lorraine has also taxed and insured the vehicle for the family.
