A SCHEME to convert a former squash club into a car sales centre looks set to be hit on the head by councillors.

Planning officers are recommending the proposal to change the empty club in Crown Way, Colne, be turned down because the applicants have not submitted sufficient plans. They have written to the applicant asking for more details.

The plan was to demolish the main part of the building to create a car sales compound and use the remainder of the building as offices.

The application will go before Colne councillors on Thursday.
