THE pitfalls of environmental legislation were explained to businessmen during a seminar at Ewood Park. Organised by the Business Environment Association, it featured speakers from the Health and Safety Executive, the Environment Agency, North West Water and Taylor's Solicitors of Blackburn.
BEA director Michael Kinsella said: "Our aim is to assist businesses in East Lancashire and improve their environmental performance. Part of that is to keep them abreast of health, safety and environmental issues so they are aware of both the opportunities and the threats posed by legislation."
Haslingden company Advanced Technical Coatings was also presented with a certificate for becoming a new member of the Association.
