On January 7, ten boys teams will play each other at Leyland St Mary's School and the winning team will then qualify for the area finals which take place in early 1997.

The competition culminates in a nationals finals day at Aston Villa Leisure Centre on April 26.

Local schools taking part are: all Hallows, Brownedge St Mary's, Penwortham Priory, Hutton Grammar, Balshaws High, Lostock Hall, Leyland St Mary's, Worden, Wellfield and Walton Le Dale.
