Peter Pike wants folk to boost the CVS's chance of success by sending letters to the MIllennium Commission.
The CVS is bidding for money to fund its one-stop-shop project, a scheme to improve services by housing them under one roof.
Mr Pike said: "Public support for this and other bids is crucial. You can express your support by writing to me at House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA; or to The Millennium Commission, 2 LIttle Smith Street, London, SW1P 3DH.
