SHOP boss Harry Smallshaw has put up a 'substantial' reward to recover £3,000 of designer clothes stolen by early morning raiders.
Metal shutters protecting ESB Motorcylces in Queen Street, Leigh, were ripped off and a window smashed before the raiders ransacked the back of the shop.
Forty Wulfsport jackets, ten race shirts, bob hats and a crash helmet were stolen.
"The jackets are only sold by specialist shops, so if people are offered them in a pub or at a car boot sale, they must have been stolen from somewhere," said Harry.
The Wulfsport jackets are multi-coloured and very fashionable.
Harry called for an increase in police man-power in the town.
"I realise that there are other things happening that have a higher priority for the police. But we need more officers on the street to re-assure the small businessman that their property isn't under threat."
Harry has put up a 'substantial reward' for the recovery of the property - which is all security marked - and prosecution of the offenders.
FOUR shop windows were damaged in the town centre on Monday night. They were at a barbers in Chapel Streeet; Red Rose Estates, Queen Street Carpets and Jacksons Bazaar, all on Queen Street. A man has been arrested.
