SHAKERS goalkeeper Dean Kiely expects a hot reception from the Bristol Rovers fans at the Memorial Ground tomorrow but isn't worried in the least.

When the two sides met at Gigg Lane five weeks ago a certain section of the Pirates travelling support took umbrage at Kiely's good-natured hand-to-ear gesture following Bury's winning goal and reported him to the police.

The local constabulary took no further action but Kiely is aware he will have to watch his step at Bristol tomorrow.

"I imagine that with it being fresh in the mind I'll get some reaction but I just won't get involved," he explained

"It sounds corny but to me it's just another game, I'll just have to keep my arms folded so nothing can be misconstrued."

Only two weeks ago the likeable Kiely was captured on TV enjoying a joke with Chesterfield supporters during the FA Cup first round game at Saltergate.

"I can have a laugh with the fans week in, week out but this is certainly one match when I won't do anything, regardless of what occurs in the game," he added.
