BUDDING artists showed off their work to their friends when they staged their own private exhibition.

The three young members of Bold Venture Park Scout Group worked on their artist's badges for around six months, even designing their own wallpaper borders and studying famous works of art along the way. And they were so proud of their achievements they put on an exhibition for fellow scouts.

Scout helper Pauline Lishman said: "I helped them with the work and they really have gone way above and beyond what is normally done to gain an artist's badge. All three of them have showed tremendous dedication and talent."

The trio began their project with a visit to Borden Decorative Products where they designed their own wallpaper borders. They also produced their own paintings and drawings.
