FOOTBALL fans were planning to pay tribute to Blackburn Rovers' chairman William Fox. It was decided that a minutes silence would be held before all league games in memory of Mr Fox, who was president of the Football League, and every player would also wear a black arm band.
Mr Fox, 63, who suffered from cancer, died from natural causes after collapsing at his home in Billinge End Road, Blackburn.
