A NEW organisation to co-ordinate volunteer workers has been set up in the Ribble Valley.
The formal launch of the Volunteer Bureau took place in the Mayor's Parlour, where Ribble Valley's First Citizen, Councillor Eileen Lowe, was among the guest speakers.
The bureau has been set up with help from the Government's Heritage Department's 'Let's Make a Difference' programme, to encourage local volunteering.
The bureau aims to increase awareness and promote volunteering opportunities in the Ribble Valley, as well as offering help and support to anyone either thinking of joining in or anyone who already manages a volunteer organisation.
More information about the bureau can be obtained from headquarters at 5 Shawbridge Street, Clitheroe, or by contacting 01200 422721.
