JOHN D Farrer (LET, January 24) does protest too much, a sure sign of a pricked conscience.

I don't dispute the fact that J D Farrer and D Pearson are both committed members of the Tory Party, but I would ask just where do great minds enter into the equation?

The function of Tory Central Office is to churn out spurious information intended to mislead and cause mischief.

This material is sent out to selected people who are susceptible and willing to put their names to it without question.

The Tories have always used the Union Jack as a cloak to hide behind in the name of patriotism.

But in reality, the needs of the Tory Party have invariably been put before the good of the country.

And this particular Tory government, after two decades of power, have totally corrupted what was the Conservative Party. They now have the moral sense of plankton.
