A NEW deal between brewers Thwaites and Whitbread has been struck.
The Whitbread Beer Company and the Blackburn brewers have signed an agreement which puts Whitbread brands, including Murphy's Irish Stout and Gold Label, into Thwaites pubs.
Thwaites will carry out contract packaging of Whitbread take home brands.
"This is the first major trading relationship with Whitbread and we are delighted
"We are looking forward to developing it," said Paul Winter, Thwaites sales and marketing director.
Thwaites already stock a number of Whitbread brands including Labatt Ice, Rolling Rock and Mackeson.
"This significant agreement will be a huge benefit to both companies.
"The increased distribution for brands in the North West will offer customers a wider choice of drinks," said Peter Jackson of Whitbread.
