HOTELIERS and tourism bosses are getting together for lunch to help put names to faces and see how they can better promote Burnley.
There is no hoteliers' association in Burnley, but the hotels and other conferencing and banqueting venues in Burnley co-operate with each other to loan out furniture and equipment or refer customers when accommodation is fully booked.
Rita Walsh, sales manager of the Comfort Friendly Inn, said: "After all the hard work of the festive season, February seems like a good time to invite everyone to lunch and it might be the most convenient opportunity to take a couple of hours' break.
"This meeting is quite informal, just an occasion to put names to faces and to exchange ideas.
"Our livelihoods all depend upon the success of this area and Burnley in particular as a destination for business travel, sporting and cultural events and the tourism industry.
"We all promote this part of East Lancashire and it may well be that we can co-operate together even more to ensure that Burnley stays well and truly on the map in every department."
The lunch will be held at the Comfort Friendly on February 11.
