LIBERAL Democrat leader Paddy Ashdown became the latest casualty in the General Election 'dirty tricks' campaign when he was forced to admit to an affair.
He made the shock admission, after lifting a legal injunction preventing newspapers from the reporting the alleged theft of private papers from his solicitor's office.
Mr Ashdown spent days attempting to suppress the story.
