PRIME Minister Margaret Thatcher was facing a crisis over the alleged breach of security of a spy satellite.
Attorney General Sir Michael Havers was told to have a short break from his duties on medical advice. He had been accused in the Commons of co-operating with journalist Duncan Campbell over the BBC on the Zircon spy satellite project.
The police were investigating a New Statesman article on Zircon and the alleged breaches of security.
