BLACKBURN Hawks entertain Castlereigh on Sunday knowing victory will secure their play-off place.

With only two Northern League games to go, victory for the Hawks would leave them uncatchable in the fourth and final play-off position.

And Jim Pennycook's side are beginning to show the form that could upset the odds come the season's showdown after pushing runaway leaders Fife Flyers all the way before going down 7-6 at the Arena on Sunday.

"That was definitely one of our best performances of the season, " said the player-coach.

"But it was a shame we could not hold on for the draw we richly deserved."

On Saturday (February 8), the Hawks warm up for the Castlereigh clash with a challenge match at Altrincham.

Pennycook is set to return after a lengthy lay off through injury but Neil Abel and Bobby Haig will both undergo late fitness tests.
