JAMES Peterson today agreed terms with Bacup Cricket Club to become their professional next season in the Lancashire League.
The 23-year-old from Sydney, Australia, takes over from Roger Harper who is keen to pursue business interests in America.
"What an act to follow," said Peterson, who was professional with Barnoldswick in the Ribblesdale League for the last two seasons.
Bacup chairman Brian Thompson added: "It's a complete change from Roger and we're looking forward to it.
"He seems a nice young chap and he performed some great deeds for Barnoldswick who would have been happy to have him back."
