MEDALS galore as Tyldesley SC featured prominently in the Central Lancashire Age Groups.
Samantha Thompson, 10, won the 50 butterfly with Michelle Greensmith on bronze, both in PBs.
Bests too for 12-year-old Khalid Jhugroo (1st) and James Gendall (2nd) in the 100 freestyle while in the girls event there was gold for Jessica Howarth (PB).
Stuart Carlisle was never under pressure, taking gold in the 13-Year 400 freestyle.
Matthew Hampson produced two fine swims for silver in the 14-Year 200 IM and 100 freestyle, in which he slashed two seconds off his PB.
In the 11-Year category Jenny Sparks - swimming for the first time over 100 metres - took silver in the backstroke.
Other finalists: Mark Hurst 4th in the 11-Year 100 backstroke, Maria Hampson 6th in the 11-Year 100 backstroke, Dominic Derbyshire 5th in the 14-Year 200 IM, with good swims from Matthew Concannon, David Gendall, Andrew Hurst and Stephen Riley.
The 13/14-Year medley team of Stuart Carlisle (back), Dominic Derbyshire (breast), Matthew Hampson (fly) and Andrew Hurst (free) took No 1 spot while silver went to the 11/12-Year 4x50 freestyle team of Nichola Jones, Samantha Greensmith, Kelly Banner and Jessica Howarth.
In the Bolton & District Age Groups Richard Hampson won the 13/16-Year 400 IM in a PB and NQT. He was also fifth in the 100 backstroke.
Stephanie Thompson won the Junior Ladies Trophy at 100 breaststroke and was fourth overall.
PBs for Samantha Thompson (6th) and Michelle Greensmith in the 10-Year 100 IM with, in his section, Mark Chilton setting a PB in his first gala.
Mark, Samantha and Michelle plus newcomer Sarah Wood, 10, also swam PBs in their respective 50 backstroke events.
Youngest entrant in the 100 breaststroke championship was 11-year-old Matthew Concannon, who set a PB for fourth spot.
Team events led to silvers for the 11/12-Year teams (Matthew Concannon, Stephen Riley, James Gendall, Khalid Jhugroo) and (Stephanie Thompson, Samantha Greensmith, Kelly Banner, Jessica Howarth).
