A MOTHER and her young son were rushed to hospital suffering from the effects of carbon monoxide poisoning following a gas leak at their home in Edge Street, Nutgrove, at about 8.40am on Monday, February 3.
The 37-year old woman and her five-year-old son were rushed straight to Whiston Hospital before being transferred to the Hyperbaric Unit of Bupa Murrayfield Hospital on the Wirral where they were later described as "satisfactory."
Gas board officials have been informed of the leak and are now investigating the possible cause.
