IHAVE just got to write this letter, because I honestly do not feel I am alone in the disappointment I experienced with Blackburn public transport.
We do not all possess cars, and so we use the next best thing, public transport. But the staff's approach and attitude to their work is less than favourable.
They ignore timetables frequently and if questioned, it's a case of: "I don't know" or "Take or it or leave it."
I have been late for my work five times in as many months. I arise at 6am and begin work at 8am . You would think it an impossibility to be late for work. Don't you believe it. If the bus doesn't arrive at the stop on time, I am late.
I really am not at all surprised that Stagecoach has taken over from the Hyndburn bus service. I will be only too glad when this happens to Blackburn Transport.
I despair at the attitude of these so-called public service workers who seem to have completely forgotten their role, or what their job entails.
Please, may we have a much improved attitude, a greater sense of responsibility and, above all, a much improved service. We do not ask for much. All we ask is consideration.
E HAWORTH (Mrs), Ivinson Road, Darwen.
