IMPERIAL Cancer is calling on Fylde Coast horse-riding enthusiasts to take part in its Canter Against Cancer appeal.
Dedicated to the understanding, prevention and cure of all forms of cancer, this renowned charity is asking equine-orientated Fylde folk to get on their horses and ponies to organise sponsored hacks, horse shows and events to help raise vital cash.
Victoria Walker, Imperial Cancer's area appeals executive, said: "There will be great prizes for the top fund-raisers and rosettes for all participants."
She added: "Please call us for a fund-raising pack and show your support for research into a disease which claims the lives of one in four people in the UK today."
The top individual fund-raiser nominated by the charity will receive a cross-country shirt along with travel and brushing boots, a tailguard and summer sheet for their horse or pony.
And the nominated top fund-raising club will receive six embroidered cross-country shirts in their team colours - all kindly donated by de Boiz.
Special tabards will also be issued to all hack leaders.
If you would like to take part in the Imperial Cancer Research Fund's Canter Against Cancer appeal by organising a horsey event between March 1 and June 30, please telephone 0113 231 9828 for a fund-raising pack.
