BOLTON, having missed out on a bid to land Danish international striker Per Petersen, are hoping John McGinlay will be fit to return as they go in search of their eighth successive league win at Reading tomorrow.
McGinlay sat out the shock FA Cup defeat by Chesterfield on Tuesday with a calf strain, but Wanderers desperately need him back as they will definitely be without suspended front-runner Nathan Blake.
Todd says: "No-one was more disappointed than me that we failed to get through against Chesterfield ... but there is no way we are going to let one game or one result affect what we are aiming to achieve.
"We said at the outset that promotion back to the Premiership was our aim and that priority has stayed unchanged even though we have had plenty of distractions in the cup competitions. But those one-off games have gone now and we must set our stall out to win promotion - we have bounced back from disappointments before and the lads will be fired up at Reading." Squad: Ward, Green, Taggart, Fairclough, Small, Pollock, Frandsen, Thompson, Johansen, Taylor, Lee, Coleman, Sheridan, McGinlay, Sellars, Bergsson.
SHAUN Teale is in line to make his Preston bow in the Second Division relegation tussle with Rotherham at Millmoor tomorrow.
Teale, who will be 33 on Monday next, arrived at Deepdale earlier this week on a month's loan from Tranmere. The former Aston Villa ace has been unable to force a regular place in the Rovers line-up this season.
He is likely to partner Sean Gregan at the heart of Preston's defence with Gary Peters side desperately in need of a win. After securing an excellent victory at Burnley the other week, North End flopped at home to Chesterfield last Saturday.
Ryan Kidd, a hernia victim, remains unavailable, but striker David Reeves is back in the fray after suspension.
Squad: O'Hanlon, Cartwright, Barrick, Davey, Wilcox, Gregan, Moyes, Bryson, Bennett, Ashcroft, Kilbane, Beckford, McDonald, Rankine, Mimms, Reeves, Teale.
