AN East Lancashire woman is appealing for help to track down an old friend in Australia.

Mrs Pamela Hall, who used to live in Great Harwood but now lives in Hoddlesden, has called former Colne woman Irene Hyde every year since she emigrated to Adelaide 12 years ago.

But Pamela lost her address book during a house move and is desperate for Irene's phone number.

"We met when we worked in merchandising for Asda and there used to be a group of us who had dinner parties at each other's homes," said Pamela. "There must be a lot of people with Irene's number."
