AFTER reading my Evening Telegraph (February 4) I can only assume that there must have been a distinct shortage of credible editorial material on that day.
I refer to the article about Labour councillor Bill Taylor receiving a letter from Brian Mawhinney, Conservative Party chairman.
If I had to contact the paper every time I received a letter from Tony Blair asking me to financially support the Labour Party over the last few years, the editor would have had to make it a serial article.
I always return these letters, minus any money of course, with a little strong advice. Now this is real organisation, but what else can we expect from the Labour Party? They have shown time and again that they can't run a chip shop.
May I also say that I am not the only Tory in Hyndburn to receive these begging letters. Our chairman, president, vice chairman, organising secretary, and a number of members have also been targeted.
So, Mr Taylor, you have a real cheek criticising the Tories.
