JACK Walker dismissed inferences that he or anyone else had "interfered" when Kenny Dalglish was manager at Ewood.
And he outlined what had been agreed with Dalglish.
He said: "There were no disagreements from myself, or the chairman Rob Coar, or the board from the day that Kenny Dalglish signed to be manager of Blackburn Rovers.
"He was allocated money, he could go out and buy the players and he wasn't stopped.
"There's been no way that people, or I, have interfered with any of his decisions. He must be the luckiest man in football.
"Kenny should stop insinuating. He knows he bought a new football team. I think he bought about 23 footballers.
"How many more players did he want?"
Mr Walker also re-affirmed what we revealed last week, that Roy Hodgson would not be bringing more backroom staff with him from Italy.
"We all know what a cracking job Tony Parkes and Derek Fazackerley have done and we are over the moon about it," he said.
"Roy Hodgson was in no doubt about keeping the team there. He doesn't want to bring people with him, which makes our life easier.
"If Eriksson had come with his own coach, no way would we have been losing our existing team.
"I have told Blackburn people for long enough that I look upon Blackburn Rovers as a family and there was no problem with Tony Parkes and Derek Fazackerley."
