A RESEARCH company is on the brink of a major breakthrough.
MB Aseptic technology has developed a new filling system which could revolutionise the food, drink and pharmaceutical industries.
The prototye of the system is now undergoing trials with leading companies.
The system developed by the Blackburn firm enables liquids and other products to be packaged without the risk of harmful bacteria forming.
The Lancashire Innovation Fund and the Blackburn City Challenge Venture Fund have invested £150,000 in the company for the development.
