FIRMS are being offered a chance to find out how to break into African and Eastern European markets.
East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce has organised a seminar on export sales opportunities in south eastern Europe including Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria.
The Eastern European event is on April 17.
Meanwhile, local firms are also encouraged to look at opportunities to export to tropical Africa. UK exports there in 1996 totalled more than £1.5 billion and are growing considerably.
Close British links with countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana and Nigeria mean UK-produced goods have an edge over competition from other nations.
A presentation under the banner of the DTI's Opportunity Africa campaign will be held on May 8.
Further details on both events are available from the chamber on 01254 388400.
