KONVEKTA King will strive for his fourth successive win over jumps tomorrow when the Rossendale horse takes part in the Cheltenham festival.
The nine-year-old gelding runs in the Mildmay of Flete Challenge Cup Handicap Chase over two and a half miles.
Bought for Haslingden company Konvekta Ltd by former chairman Colin Coxen for 24,000 guineas, the steeplechaser will wear their blue and white silks.
And the staff at Konvekta are sure that he's worth a wager.
"He's coming into his own just at the right time and he's not at Cheltenham to absorb the atmosphere," said Coxen.
He qualified for Cheltenham, the pinnacle of the National Hunt season, by winning the £8,000 Marston Moor Handicap Chase over two and a half miles at Wetherby last month.
He has won at Cheltenham before, racing last November, and has another victory under his belt from Haydock Park.
"Our preference would be have good to good to firm ground to give him his best chance," added Coxen.
Trained by Oliver Sherwood, Konvekta King will be ridden by Jamie Osborne.
