THE Penwortham St Mary's Amateur Dramatic Society closes its 40th season with Three Men, a passion play written by founder member Betty Haworth.
The story centres on a trio of men whose lives are radically changed by the events of Good Friday.
Members say the Society's first productions were passion plays for the Easter period back in the early 1950s.
Performances are as follows: March 16 at St Teresa's Church, Queensway, Penwortham, Preston; March 23 at St Leonard's Church, Church Brow, Walton-le-Dale, Preston; March 25 at St Mary's Church, Church Avenue, Penwortham, Preston.
