LECTURER Hubert Ward is seeing red! On Sunday Hubert, 42, a maths, physics and electronics lecturer at Warrington Collegiate Institute, had his hair dyed post box red for Red Nose Day.
His wife, Ann, who changed his looks, said: "Hubert is a man who wouldn't be expected to do something like this. But once he gets an idea into his head he has to carry it through."
Now Hubert's raising sponsorship this week at £5 a time and even before his hair was dyed he had raised about £285, but he expects a lot more before the week is out."
Dad's had mixed reactions from the couple's two children, Claire, 10, and Vincent, seven, who both attend St Richard's School.
Ann, who is a dinner lady at the school, added: "Claire's going redder than the dye at the thought of what her dad's done, while Vincent is thrilled to bits and wants to have his hair dyed too, but I think he's too young...but then again I did think Hubert was too old for doing something like this in the first place!"
