A STAKE of just 60p on the Irish Lottery has scooped a lucky Great Harwood punter almost £11,000.
The middle-aged local man, who wants to remain anonymous, is a regular customer at William Hill bookmakers in Queen Street, where he picked up his £10,836.25 winnings this week.
He discovered his numbers had come up when he checked Teletext on Sunday.
Betting shop manager Mrs Pauline Hacking said: "He seemed quite calm when he came in for his winnings but had probably got over his excitement.
"Everybody has been asking who he is, but we have to respect his choice of no publicity."
